Delete your Lexi account or request data deletion

This page explains how to permanently delete your account, request deletion of specific data, what happens to your information, and how to get help.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your Lexi account in either of these ways:

  • In the Lexi app: Settings → Delete Account
  • On this page: sign in below and confirm deletion

Delete specific data without deleting your account

If you would like to request deletion of certain data without deleting your full account, please email support@lexistudent.co.za from the email address associated with your Lexi account.

What data is deleted

When a full account deletion is completed, Lexi deletes:

  • account information
  • learner profile information
  • reading history and reading performance data
  • subscription-related account records stored by Lexi
  • other user data associated with your account

Voice recordings

Voice recordings are not stored long-term. They are used only to process reading assessments and are deleted immediately after processing.

Retention and exceptions

In limited cases, some records may be retained temporarily where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or transaction reconciliation. These records are retained only for as long as necessary.
