These Terms govern your use of the Lexi app and services provided by The Window Seat (PTY) LTD (“we”, “us”).
Accounts and Eligibility
Provide accurate information and keep credentials secure. Lexi is designed for children in Grades 1–5 under the consent and oversight of a parent/guardian or school.
Subscriptions and Billing
- Available via Apple In‑App Purchases: Monthly R89; Yearly R890 (approx. 17% savings).
- Auto‑renews until cancelled in your Apple account settings.
- Prices may change; new prices apply on renewal.
- Refunds are handled per Apple’s policies.
Acceptable Use
Do not misuse the service, violate laws/rights, reverse engineer, or introduce harmful content.
Intellectual Property
The app, content, and branding are owned by us or our licensors.
User Content (Voice Recordings)
You (and for minors, their parent/guardian or school) grant us a worldwide, non‑exclusive license to store and process voice recordings and derived metrics to provide the service and improve our reading models and algorithms, subject to the Privacy Policy. Parents/guardians may withdraw consent and request deletion.
Children and Consent
A parent/guardian or school must obtain and maintain required consent for child users. Schools represent they have permission from parents/guardians when acting as the consenting party.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time; subscriptions remain active until period end unless cancelled. We may suspend/terminate for violations or risks to users, systems, or compliance.
Disclaimers; Limitation of Liability
Provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and limit liability.
Changes
We may modify features or these Terms; continued use indicates acceptance.
Governing Law
South African law applies. Venue: courts of the Republic of South Africa.
